Gus + Amanda | The Barn at Harvest Moon Pond

Today is a sad day! Sad doesn’t even begin to cover it!

I’m sure all of the photographers reading this that shoot weddings can relate with me here…you love your couples like I love mine.

You spend one of the most important (and sometimes stressful) days of their lives with them. There are tears of joy and tears of sadness because they are missing someone important that they would really love to be there. I cry right along with them on their wedding day and I’m crying today right along with Gus and so many people that are missing Amanda and wishing she was still here with us!!! They were married in September and just this past week were on their honeymoon when Amanda passed away in a tragic accident.

I want to scream! I want to hit rewind! I want to do something that will make it all better.

There is nothing that I can do to make it better but I can honor her memory the best way I know how. To show everyone this amazing person – so sweet and full of life with a smile that would knock your socks off! When I first met Gus & Amanda they were training for a marathon (I believe Amanda’s first) which they both completed. While I’m not up for a marathon yet, I signed up today for my first 20k and I’ll be running it in May and thinking of her every step of the way!!! She IS loved and will most definitely be missed!!!
